New light fixtures, a ceiling fan, a faucet swap, a TV on the wall, or a smart lock so guests can check in without a key. These are some of the most common jobs we get, especially from rental owners.
Like-for-like swaps are usually simple. New circuits, gas lines or new plumbing runs go to licensed electricians and plumbers.

What a handyman can and can't do
Swapping an existing fixture in the same spot is typical handyman work. Adding new circuits, running new gas lines, or moving plumbing is licensed trade work in both California and Nevada and may need a permit. We'll tell you which is which and route it correctly.
Smart locks for rentals
Keypad and smart locks make guest check-in and cleaner access easier. Pick a model rated for cold weather, and keep a backup way in if batteries die in a cold snap.
