Mountain homes need more care

Snow load, freeze-thaw, high-altitude sun and pine needles all wear on a Tahoe home faster than one down in the valley. Small problems, like a loose deck board or a gap in the trim, turn into bigger ones after a single winter.

And if it's a second home or a rental, you're not there to notice. We help owners stay ahead of it, whether you're here full-time or a few weekends a year.

How it works

  1. Call or send the form. Tell us your town and what needs doing. Photos help.
  2. Get a clear quote. You know the scope and price before work starts.
  3. Work gets done. On site with you, or coordinated while you're away.
  4. Get photos and notes. Especially handy for second-home and rental owners.

Tahoe home care by season

  • Spring: check decks, railings, siding and trim for winter damage.
  • Summer: paint and stain while it's dry, and do exterior carpentry.
  • Fall: seal gaps, service doors and windows, and get ready for snow.
  • Winter: interior projects, drywall, fixtures and quick storm fixes.

Signs it's time to call

  • Soft, cupped or loose deck boards
  • Doors that stick or won't latch after the freeze
  • New drywall cracks or nail pops
  • Peeling paint or graying stain on the sunny side
  • Drafts around windows and doors
  • A to-do list that's been growing since last season

Where we work

The whole Lake Tahoe Basin, plus Truckee, the Carson Valley, Reno and the US-50 corridor.

Why Tahoe homeowners call us

Local to the mountains

We work around snow, steep lots, HOA rules and TRPA, so you don't have to explain Tahoe to anyone.

Quote before work

You get the scope and price up front, not a surprise at the end.

Built for second homes

Photo updates, lockbox access and scheduling around guest turnovers.

Right person for the job

Small fixes go to a handyman. Bigger jobs that need a license go to a licensed contractor.

Questions, answered

What areas do you cover?

The whole Lake Tahoe Basin, plus Truckee, Olympic Valley, Northstar, the Carson Valley, Carson City, Reno, Verdi, Markleeville, Kirkwood, Pollock Pines and Placerville.

How do I get a quote?

Call (916) 494-8868 or send the form with your town and what needs doing. Photos help us quote faster.

Can you work while I'm not at the house?

Yes. Many of our customers are second-home or rental owners. Lockbox or code access works, and you'll get photos when the work is done.

Do I need a licensed contractor?

Small repairs usually don't. Structural work, new electrical or plumbing, and larger jobs above state limits need a licensed contractor. We'll tell you which applies.

Does TRPA affect my project?

If your home is inside the Lake Tahoe Basin, some exterior projects can need TRPA review. Interior repairs usually don't. Check with TRPA and your local building department.

Do you work in winter?

Yes, especially inside. Exterior work depends on weather and access.
